Here is an explanation of the categories and the forms for each:

1.  Skilled Workers Class

Generally, skilled workers must have at least one-year of full-time, paid experience in a skilled trade. Click here for a list.

2. Business Class

The following can apply for immigration under the business category:

Entrepreneur: Has business management experience, and has a personal net worth of at least $300,000.

Investor: Has a personal net worth of $ 1,600,000.

Self Employed: Persons must employ themselves and make significant contributions to cultural activities, athletics, or farming.

3. Family Sponsorship Class

Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor certain close relatives. Spouse, Common law, Children, Parents, Grand Parents, etc.
